April 19th – 2nd Amendment March in D.C.

Second Amendment March in Washington, D.C.
When: April 19, 2010 (10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.)
Where: Washington Monument grounds, Washington, D.C.

“We will assemble on the northeast corner of the Washington Monument grounds at 10:00 a.m.  The entire program will take place there.”

I do not think any of us expect a million gun march or anything of the sort. Though I do hope to see a few thousand. (Or as the mainstream media would say…”dozens”.)

But none-the-less it will be a good opportunity to a) remind Washington that we are here  b) encourage one another and c) perhaps put some pressure on D.C. to adhere to the Heller decision.

  1. I don’t have faith in even a few thousand. I heard there are buses coming from a reasonably close location (southern Ohio) that are no where close to filling. I saw on SayUncle that they apparently had a “money bomb” day to try and raise money and awareness, yet they didn’t even try to reach out to new media sources to spread the word. I’ve kind of watched this thing from afar because I knew they were in for surprises with what it takes to plan an event when they were shocked by Ted Nugent’s speaking fee. (That is published every year in the NRA accounting information with board members which is how I knew about it.)

  2. Ohio got 300+

So here’s to hoping to see 2,000+
