Celebrate….but don’t shoot in the air

A groom in Turkey fired an automatic rifle in celebration and lost control. Killing three family members, including his father, and injuring several others – including children.

A foolish tradition that could easily be replaced with the use of fireworks. (Which may be dangerous but far less so than bullets.)

Some traditions need to die…

  1. Ok, here’s my second springer review. This time it’s the blackhawk. Right out of the box I could tell it’s a strong runner for best inexpensive springer.

    Pros: Inexpensive 10/10
    Accuracy 9/10
    Velocity 9/10
Fit and finish is a 9/10
Better trigger feel than most 9/10

Cons: Although the stock is great right out of the box I think it needs two coats of polyurethane.
Plastic sights and safety although just about all cheap springers have plastic sights.
Scope could be better. It’s one of their cheapest.
I thought the butplate could be a thicker, adjustable, or more soft.

After running through some break-in shots to clear away extra oil and grease the gun tamed down and
began giving consistent results. The slope of the pellet loading port is rather profound, so you
need to make sure and insert the pellet as far as possible with your thumb (not fingernail!). I’m
looking forward to plinking a lot with this gun. I give it a 9 out of 10 and I’m a pretty picky
    person.
