Jack Spirko over at thesurvivalpodcast.com mentioned in his podcast the idea of a 2nd Amendment Day. (This being somewhat motivated by the upcoming “support Starbuck’s with $2 bills on Valentine’s Day (2/14).
He discovered Oklahoma has already established such on a state level, establishing the anniversaryof the DC vs Heller decision.
What does everyone think about trying to codify a day of recognition for the 2nd Amendment? I personally think it is a good idea, and that the Heller anniversary makes for a good date choice.
How would one celebrate such?
- Range Day
- Sporting pro-2nd Amendment shirts and garb
- Taking new shooters out to shoot.
- A “coming out day”, yes…it’d be the day when everyone kind of voices
“Yes, I am pro-gun”.
- Suspensions/Expulsions – when our children try to participate in school. *sighs*
Could we accomplish this? I think so… and I think we should try.
