Maryland court decides Maryland’s uber-restrictive ‘may issue’ laws are unconstitutional.

This is a big win, and one we need to see more of. Essentially these are what I refer to as “James 2” laws. It’s a reference to a passage that criticizes being a “respector of persons”. Essentially, Maryland’s ‘may issue’, and similar laws held by other states and cities (NY) are respector of persons. They establish two levels of citizens, the first category being one who is wealthy, famous, politically connected, and the second category includes everyone else.

NOTE: I’ve been sitting on these articles for a couple days now as things have been somewhat chaotic in my personal life this week.
